The order of things seems to be that the electro-chemical/unseen/spiritual things come first, and then the “physical”. These terms, of course, are all jargon and slogan for ideas, again being manifest from the electro chemical/unseen/spiritual. The ether – if you will.
What makes you different than me? Why can’t you be me or I be you? What holds our identity like so much prisoners inside these Earth suits?
We slip on Tyvek safety suits and wear them to prevent from getting dirty on the job, then we unzip them and take them off. When they get dirty beyond use we toss them out and pick out a fresh suit.
If our skin was translucent, life would be much different. People would be able to see the lungs contracting and expanding, the stomach and guts working, the blood flowing through the veins, and the stool being made – pretty girl or ugly guy. I think we would appreciate each other more and maybe be less arrogant about who and what we are. Nah, we’d probably all just cover ourselves in a burqa. Nevermind, bad idea.
Is identity a general thing? Like a common CPU chip that is placed in various bodies, then filled with data? Are we so familiar with the data that pertains to our Earth suit that we hang all our individuality on that CPU chip? Could that chip be divided and erased and exchanged? As humans we all share common things. We all are one in many senses. To say 'I am you' isn’t exactly correct, but it feels like it could be true. When you look at a child or a baby, and you know that their entire life could be encompassed by yours, or that you know more about pretty much everything than they do – you could say that you are that baby, and much more. But that isn’t exactly correct, so long as your identity – perhaps contained in the furthest reaches of the pineal gland – is imprisoned in your particular Earth suit. We have individual bodies right now, and this we cannot deny.
But if we didn’t have bodies, would we exist? One has to assume so, in the context of the evidence surrounding us, that life goes on, life lives. If I was transported right now to the moon, this body would "die" in a matter of seconds – I am not prepared in any way, and I have no astronaut suit handy. These bodies we have tie us to Earth, and in that sense we can call Earth “mother”, but again, these are all metaphors and jargon, slogan – for ideas, abstract ones at that. People who can speak several languages understand the importance of communicating meaning over particular use of word. I am speaking in meaning to you, my words are secondary.
So our bodies are particularly equipped to handle this planet’s climate. This is axiomatic, but like everything, taken for granted. Not helping matters is a profit-based motive on the part of some in marketing and media to convince as many as possible to only identify with the body – thus allowing the sale of a litany of products to improve and modify ones “existence”. But truth be told, we are so much more than meets the eye. Translucent skin would simply prove that.
